Collection of 2-D and 3-D seismic reflection data from Maryland
Summary
Seismic reflection is a profile of the subsurface obtained using surface geophysical techniques. These profiles delineate basement structure and structural features extending into overlying sediments. The collection includes: (1) a series of seismic lines run on the Eastern Shore in Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot and Dorchester Counties, performed in 1976 by Seismograph Services Corp. for MGS and USGS, (2) a series of seismic lines run on the Western Shore in St. Mary's County, performed in 1976 by Seismograph Services Corp. for MGS and USGS, and (3) additional seismic reflection profiles for Charles County near Douglas Point (documented in the Preliminary Safety Report) and Prince George's County (documented in MGS Information Circular [...]
