The 2010 Total Population variable is estimated by Esri's proven annual demographic update methodology that blends GIS with statistical technology and a unique combination of data sources. The Total Population for 2015 is Esri's five year projection.
This map shows Esri's 2010 estimates using Census 2000 geographies. The geography depicts States at greater than 25m scale, Counties at 750k to 25m scale, Census Tracts at 150k to 750km scale, and Census Block Groups at less than 150k scale.
