LCC Network Data Steward(Point of Contact)

This dataset is a subset of a Land Facets raster developed by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for their Duke Landscape Resilience project. Madeline Steele (USFWS/SWCA) extended the coverage of the raster into the Okanogan Valley so it would have full coverage of the ALI analysis areas, replicating the TNC methodology as precisely as possible. Land facets are a primary component in TNC’s analysis of site resilience to climate change. Their inclusion is based on the assumption that preservation of representative examples of the geophysical ‘Stage’ (ie., topo-edaphic factors) results in protection of a wider variety of species (the ‘Players’).
