This pilot project will assist the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC) identify issues dealing with the integration of natural and cultural resource sustainability and recommend optimal strategies for solving impacts associated with landscape stressors like climate change, invasive species, water scarcity, and habitat fragmentation. The goal of this project will be to provide the SALCC an action plan for use in future efforts to integrate optimal sustainability strategies for natural and cultural resources. The project will identify areas of overlap and disjunction between optimal methods of natural resource sustainability and cultural resource sustainability. Within this framework, cultural resources are defined as historic and archaeological sites, buildings, structures, objects of historical significance as defined by the National Historic Preservation Act as amended 2006.
