Summary

Practitioners struggle with how to identify, prioritize, and implement climate adaptation actions that can effectively reduce vulnerability; these decisions may be more easily made and successfully implemented if they are informed by scientific evidence. EcoAdapt, the Institute for Natural Resources, and the Northwest Climate Science Center have partnered on the Available Science Assessment Project (ASAP) to synthesize and evaluate scientific knowledge on specific adaptation actions to determine the implementation conditions under which these actions may be most effective; we are examining the science behind sea level rise adaptation actions in the Northwest.
