The broad goal of the dredging subgroup is to determine the impacts of dredging on lamprey and evaluate how we can mitigate these effects. The subgroup will work on assignments designed to achieve progress towards the goal. Interim strategies include: Maintain or increase awareness of planned dredging activities where Pacific Lamprey may be affected Develop knowledge, expertise, and the reputation needed to “inform” or influence actions included as part of dredging-related permits Develop monitoring recommendations for dredging activities Pre-dredging surveys in the affected area for lamprey Monitoring of dredge spoils (during dredging) for lamprey Compile and maintain a reference library of dredging/lamprey-related publications [...]
