Australia, Meckering: 1968-2013

The Meckering cluster is based on the M6.1 earthquake on October 14, 1968 near Meckering, Australia. Most of the other events in the cluster are small and poorly recorded beyond local distances. A subset of events could be relocated with free depth, and these were used to refine the local velocity model and establish a reference for focal depths for the other events. The connectivity (i.e., observations by common stations) between the three events in 1968 and the more recent events is weak, causing some problems with convergence, but a stable solution was obtained finally.
