Summary
The text file "Dewpoint temperature.txt" contains hourly data and associated data-source flag from January 1, 1948, to September 30, 2017. Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne National Laboratory, 2017) is the primary source of the data and is processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010). Missing and apparently erroneous data values were replaced with adjusted values from nearby stations used as “backup”. Midwestern Regional Climate Center (Midwestern Regional Climate Center, 2017) station at Chicago O'Hare International Airport is used as "backup". Each hourly value is assigned a corresponding data source flag that indicates the source of the value and its transformations. Each flag is of the form "xyz" [...]

Each hourly value is assigned a corresponding data source flag that indicates the source of the value and its transformations. Each flag is of the form "xyz" that allows the user to determine its source and the methods used to process the data (Over and others, 2010).

This data set may be used to run the Hydrological Simulation Program- FORTRAN (HSPF) model or any other compatible model for simulating rainfall-runoff in DuPage County and nearby areas in northeastern, Illinois. This database is available to public and other stakeholders for the purpose of doing similar research.
Data is collected by Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) (Argonne National Laboratory, 2017). The primary data for each year is downloaded from ANL and is processed following the guidelines documented in Over and others (2010).
