Summary

The Aspen Grove landslide, in Ephraim Canyon, Sanpete County, Utah, was active from 1983 through 1987 and was the subject of field investigations from 1983-1986. Previous reports included many of the borehole, geologic, and geotechnical data collected as part of these investigations (Baum and others, 1988; Baum and Fleming, 1989; Fleming and Johnson, 1989; Baum and others, 1993; Baum and Fleming, 2001). This data release provides extensometer measurements made during 1985 and depicted in Figure F7 of Baum and others (1993) in a machine-readable format.

Purpose

Time-series displacement measurements at three extensometers on the flank of the Aspen Grove landslide were originally collected to observe rates and timing of movement of the landslide. They are being made available for testing models of landslide movement.
