The present highway curves up the hill shown on the right in this particular photograph. The small object floating in the embayment is an abandoned boat dock. This photograph was taken on the morning of August 18. Gallatin County, Montana. 1959. Published as figure 2-B in U.S. Geological Survey. Professional paper 435. 1964.
