These data is a merge from three different sources in United States and one in Mexico. The dataset represent approximate extent and location of aquifers over the Rio Grande/Bravo Basin. The intention is to provide a dataset that includes the relevant aquifer information on aquifers over the Rio Grande/Bravo. The specific purpose from the data sources are listed below. US (Colorado aquifers, country dataset): These data is intended for use in publications, at a scale of 1:2,500,000 or smaller. Due to the small scale, the primary intended use is for regional and national data display and analysis, rather than specific local data analysis. New Mexico: Spatial representation of the declared groundwater basins in the New Mexico Texas: To update the delineations for the major aquifers of Texas for the purpose of adding them to the 1991 Water Plan. MX: To have a delimitation of aquifers that contributes in the integrated and sustainable management of the water resource.
