Caption: This 324-foot-wide and 100-foot-deep sinkhole in Winter Park collapsed on May 8 and 9, 1981. The collapse was caused in part by the prevailing drought. Economic loss is estimated to exceel $2 million. The losses include a house, several cars, portions of several business establishments, streets and the city swimming pool View to south.
