Purpose

To address industry and research needs for geochemical reference materials relevant to unconventional petroleum resources, particularly source rocks, inorganic chemistry, organic geochemistry, and mineralogy data have been collected on the ShBOQ-1 GRM as part of interlaboratory testing studies. The application emphasis for use of this material is as a calibration or quality control check sample in geochemical surveys of rock geochemistry and mineralogy in petroleum systems.
