Desert Research Institute (DRI) is an environmental research arm of the Nevada System of Higher Education, with extensive faculty and facilities in atmospheric sciences, earth and environmental sciences, hydrology, life sciences, and informatics. DRI is a host of the California Nevada Applications Program NOAA-RISA, and hosts the California Drought Early Warning System, part of the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS).
