This dataset is part of the Florida Landscape Conservation project. The project seeks to better understand the trends of indicators within prioritized conservation assets (or habitats). The trends and analysis carried by the project will be used to aid in informing management and conservation actions at, both, the broader and detailed spatial scales. This dataset and map show the potential for mangroves to migrate inland with rising sea levels. Using the CLC, land classes within 300 meters of saltwater marsh and mangrove swamp are classified as “low”,“moderate” or “high” based on migration potential for these two coastal Conservation Assets.
