Summary

Continuous 15-minute time-series suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) data computed from U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) instream turbidity data using a YSI 6-series multi-parameter water quality sonde for the North Mokelumne River near Walnut Grove, California, USGS station #11336685. A model archive summary describes the development of a continuous 15-minute SSC time-series regression model.

Purpose

Time-series SSC are needed to determine sediment transport in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, California. This data release includes the Model Archive Summary (MAS), calibration data, metadata XML and link to publicly available turbidity and computed SSC data. USGS turbidity data were used to compute the SSC dataset. Cited publications are included in the MAS as well as all other supporting documentation to develop the regression model used to calculate SSC from turbidity.
