Summary
Chesapeake Bay Land Change Science focuses on developing and producing land use and land cover (LULC) data and associated tools, models and analyses to improve understanding of the effects of LULC and LULC change on water quality, watershed health, and communities in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Our products allow federal, state, local jurisdictions and non-profits to make informed planning, conservation, and restoration decisions at a scale that's relevant to stakeholders.
Currently, we lead two key projects (1) mapping one-meter land use and land cover in the Chesapeake Bay watershed which is part of a EPA cooperative agreement and (2) modeling future land use change based on land policy BMP scenarios using Chesapeake Bay Land Change Model (CBLCM). This ScienceBase community page will be a portal to variety of products developed and produced by our group in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
