Chesapeake Bay Watershed Landscape Data Summaries Within Catchments of the National Hydrography Dataset Plus High Resolution (NHD Plus HR) Network
Summary
This project page contains data summaries for landscape variables at the local catchment and network accumulation levels for the NHDPlus High Resolution network. These summaries are to the 1:24,000 scale and cover the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Local catchments are defined as the single catchment the data are summarized within and the network accumulation summaries were completed for each of these catchments and their respective upstream and/or downstream catchments. Items included in these folders were generated using the xstrm methodology (Wieferich et al., 2021 & Wieferich et al., 2022). Data within this project are divided into four thematic categories: climate-related, human-related, land use/land cover and natural environment-related. [...]

Data within this project are divided into four thematic categories: climate-related, human-related, land use/land cover and natural environment-related. Some variables within each of these categories include:
Land Use/Land Cover: Forest cover, impervious surface cover, water surface coverage
Natural Environment-related: Topographic wetness, elevation, slope, available water storage estimate
All data include CSV files of the summarized data along with data dictionaries for these summary tables along with metadata on the summary process itself. If a network summary type (ie. upstream or downstream network accumualtion) is not present within the dataset, no summaries were conducted using that summary type.
