Vegetation survey data from Blandy Experimental Farm in Virginia for the years 2012 and 2014

Vegetation survey data collected in the summers of 2012 and 2014 by Itiya Aneece at the Blandy Experimental Farm (BEF) in north-central Virginia as part of her PhD dissertation. Vegetation was surveyed in four main study areas at BEF: northeast (NE) and southwest (SW) successional fields, Lake Arnold (LA), and a strip of land near the northeast successional field (NEB). The NE and SW successional fields were in various stages of succession: early (E), mid (M), and late (L), which follow NE and SW in the Plot code. Several 5m x 5m plots were established in each field, and vegetation surveys were conducted at 0.5m intervals within each plot at ground, understory, and canopy-level using the dowel method.
