Summary

Water and gas chemistry data from: Mariner, R.H., and Janik, C.J. Geochemical Data and Conceptual Model for the Steamboat Hills Geothermal System, Washoe County, Nevada, 1995. Geothermal Resources Council Transactions 19, Geothermal Resources Council 1995 Annual Meeting, October 8-11, 1995, Reno, Nevada, 19 p., https://www.geothermal-library.org/index.php?mode=pubs&action=view&record=1010692. Water chemistry data was digitized for 88 samples. Reported attributes include: Sample name, Sample ID, Type, Collection date, Latitude, Longitude, Location resolution, Location error, Temperature, pH, Boron (B), Bromide (Br), Calcium (Ca), Chloride (Cl), Fluoride (F), Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), Alkalinity as bicarbonate (HCO3), Potassium [...]

Purpose

These data were digitized as part of a project designed to transfer data stored in PDF files to machine-readable formats. The original purpose was to "construct a geochemical model of the Steamboat Hills geothermal system and to evaluate changes in the chemical characteristics of the reservoir fluid over time as they relate to induced changes in the system" (Mariner and Janik 1995).
