Purpose
The data were used in an integrated geochemical, geochronological, and mineralogical study Lake Tanganyika at the Kavala Island Ridge in Tanzania. Samples were taken from a drill core with the goal of evaluating the response of the East African Rift Valley’s largest lake to the termination of the African Humid Period and other Holocene environmental shifts in the region.
