North America Regional Moment Tensor Solutions

This documentation of regional moment tensors focuses primarily on earthquakes recorded by permanent and temporary seismic networks operating within the United States and Canada from 1962 to the present. Because the California Integrated Seismic Network determines moment tensors for earthquakes in the State of California, this tabulation contains only a few of those solutions. Event parameters are summarized in CSV format in the file slu_rmtcatalog_na.csv and graphically in slu_rmtcatalog_na.kmz. The “Child items” links to processing details of individual events, with sufficient detail to permit independent replication of the resultant source parameters.
