Purpose

Surface water sites in the Grand Canyon region are monitored in order to better understand potential changes in water and sediment chemistry that may be related to breccia-pipe uranium mining in the area. This data release was produced in compliance with 'open data' requirements as a way to make the scientific data associated with USGS research efforts and publications available to the public.
