These data sets were developed as part of a 2009 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) study, done in cooperation with the Bureau of Reclamation, to provide estimates of discharge of water by evapotranspiration (ET). These data sets were released as part of an ongoing 2024 USGS study, done in cooperation with the Nevada Division of Water Resources, to evaluate methods for estimating aquifer recharge. The intended uses include, but are not limited to, natural resource modeling, mapping, and visualization applications.
