This project initially set out to expose snakeheads and flathead catfish (2 invasive fishes) to electric fields in a controlled laboratory study. This turned out to be not feasible for two reasons. Permits to hold the right species of snakeheads on campus could not be obtained, and flathead catfish of appropriate sizes that had not been previously exposed to electric fields (i.e., not captured by electrofishing) could not be attained.
