The attached files contain color transparencies, color prints and black and white prints of daily activities on the floating research station, Fletcher's Ice Island (T-3) in the Arctic Ocean during 1968-1969. The photographs were taken by Dave Scoboria, who was the only USGS presence on the island and solely responsible for the measurements. Note: These images are also availble individually on the Photographic Collection website. Dave Scoboria grew up in rural Pennsylvania, and as a boy he dreamed of going to the Arctic.
