Purpose

Coastal waters within Izembek Lagoon contain extensive beds of eelgrass, but the status and trends of this seagrass are unknown. These data were collected to provide baseline knowledge of eelgrass (Zostera marina) abundance and distribution, but also to classify and map the spatial extent of eelgrass in the Norma Bay region.
