To address the conservation status of the Bluestone sculpin, taxonomic analyses are needed to fully describe the species and evaluate the level of hybridization. Additionally, comprehensive surveys and genetic analyses are needed to determine the species range and population connectivity. Locating the species using eDNA may be a viable option.
