This database contains geometries and basic parameters for fault sections conisdered in earthquake rupture forecasts and probabilistic seismic hazard models (specifically, NSHM23).
This dataset contains linework for a simplified Quaternary fault map of Puerto Rico, and is described in Table 4 and Figure 24 in the related manuscript. Faults are classified into three different classes based on the presence or absence of geologic evidence for Quaternary fault activity and tectonic origin, and this dataset includes faults that may have weak, equivocal, or limited evidence for Quaternary deformation or tectonic origin. The U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM) relies on deformation models to assign slip rates along active faults used in the earthquake rupture forecast. Here, we present the geologic deformation model results in tabular form. This dataset contains linework of lineaments mapped on 4 <1-m-resolution lidar datasets and the 10-m-resolution National Elevation Dataset digital elevation models in the Pit River region of northeastern California. Lineaments are classified by confidence in tectonic origin, map certainty, and the ages of the bedrock and surficial deposits they cross.
This dataset contains linework of lineaments mapped from 1-m lidar data in the Eastern Tennessee Seismic Zone, Tennessee, USA. Attributes include lineament type, confidence of tectonic origin, and notes on the mapped lineament.
