The data are a long-term (1980-present), daily reanalysis of reference evapotranspiration, covering the globe at a spatial resolution of 0.625° Longitude x 0.5° Latitude. Reference evapotranspiration is a measure of evaporative demand, or the "thirst of the atmosphere", basically how much moisture from the surface could evaporate into overpassing air, assuming (i) that enough water is available to evaporate and (ii) the surface is covered with a specific reference crop that completely shades the ground (some other conditions also apply). This dataset contains predictions of habitat suitability of reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea) in Upper Mississippi River floodplain forest understories from Pool 3 to Pool 13. Predictions were created using three machine learning algorithms (Bayesian additive regression trees, boosted trees, and random forest). This dataset contains rasters that provide habitat suitability predictions for each 12m raster cell that had forested landcover in 2010. In addition to one raster for each of the three algorithms an ensemble (mean prediction of all three algorithms) prediction raster for each pool is provided. The stream corridor at the Big Spring Run restoration site has been identified as a substantial source of sediment and nutrients to streams due to streambank erosion and floodplain scour of legacy sediment. Three USGS streamgages were installed and water-quality monitoring began in water year 2009, prior to the legacy sediment removal from the restoration area. The legacy sediment was removed from approximately 4.6 acres within the Big Spring Run study area in the fall of 2011. Monitoring has continued in the post-restoration period. This data release contains water-quality and discharge data collected at seven stream sites and one groundwater spring in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), Colorado by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from 10/1/2010 to 9/30/2019 using in-situ sensors and field meters. Ken Pierce was a Research Geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey for over 55 years and authored numerous scientific papers, geologic maps, and field trip guides. This data release contains digital scans of 64 field notebooks 713 annotated aerial photographs, and 640 annotated geologic and topographic maps authored or annotated by Ken Pierce or his collaborators. Information contained in these notebooks, aerial photographs, and maps provide much of the underpinning of Ken Pierce's research, which focused largely on the glacial and geomorphological history of Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas.

This Well Completion Report geospatial dataset represents an index to a subset of records available from the California Department of Water Resources' (DWR) Online System for Well Completion Reports (OSWCR). This release contains water supply well records from Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Bernardino, Sutter, and Yuba counties. The USGS California Water Science Center GAMA project has provided additional attributes: top of open interval; number of open intervals; and various other identifiers such as public supply well number and USGS site number where they can be identified. This data release was prepared as part of an agreement between the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to support the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Of the many components of that agreement there is a specific task requiring the Enhancement of Digital Well Completion Reports. This dataset contains measurements of chemical concentrations of soil samples representing 28 headwater drainage basins completely within the Adirondack Park of New York State (ADK Park), one basin partially in the ADK Park, and one watershed 2 kilometers from the ADK Park boundary. Seven of these watersheds have been sampled 2 or 3 times over periods of 12 to 22 years. Soil samples were collected from pit faces exposed by shoveling. Total mass of organic matter, carbon and nitrogen in the forest floor are also presented for 16 headwater drainage basins in the ADK Park. The geochemical data included here were generated as part of a Technical Assistance Agreement between the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Rio Tinto Exploration based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beginning in November of 2015, we began a project to reanalyze up to 60,000 archived sample splits originally collected as part of the National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance (HSSR) project from selected areas in Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. Extended time-series sensor data were collected between 2012 and 2016 in surface water of a tidal salt-marsh creek on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The objective of this field study was to measure water chemical characteristics and flows, as part of a study to quantify lateral fluxes of dissolved carbon species between the salt marsh and estuary. Data consist of in-situ measurements including: salinity, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, redox potential, fluorescent dissolved organic matter, turbidity and chlorophyll. Surface water flow, water level and water elevation data were also measured. The data provided in this release represent a compiled data set consisting of multiple sensor deployments between 2012 and 2016.

Assessment of geochemical cycling within tidal wetlands and measurement of fluxes of dissolved and particulate constituents between wetlands and coastal water bodies are critical to evaluating ecosystem function, service, and status. A key input for probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) is geologic slip rate data. Here, we compile all geologic slip rates that are reportedly used in U.S. National Seismic Hazard Map (NSHM) releases from 1996, 2002, 2007, 2008, and 2014. Although a new NSHM was released in 2018, no changes were made in geologic slip rate data used. The geologic slip rates are collated from existing NSHM reports and documentation, and no new data are reported herein.
