The attached list contains all Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) that have been registered since January 2004 in states of the Southern Rockies LCC: AZ, CO, NM, UT, WY and ID. The information is from the EPA's online EIS database. Results are organized by state, then agency and then publication date. The Info links provide access to general metadata records from the EPA web site. EIS that have strikethrough appear to be outside the SRLCC boundary.
NPScape housing density data sets for the conterminous U.S.: web links to map services and downloadable data. There are three map service data sets: housing density projections for 1970, 2010 and 2050. Downloadable geodatabase includes housing density projections for each decade from 1970-2100. Projections are based on the Spatially Explicit Growth Model (SERGom) (reference: Theobald, D. 2005. Landscape patterns of exurban growth in the USA from 1980 to 2020. Ecology and Society 10(1): 32. The GAP Land Cover data set contains several categories that represent human land use: Current and Historic Mining Activity, Developed Urban, Herbaceous Agricultural Vegetation and Recently Disturbed or Modified. This layer package shows the four categories in isolation from the complete data set, and converted to a shapefile format. The symbology is based on the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) level "formation", which is the 3rd level of thematic resolution in the GAP data set. The GAP GIS layer has been clipped to the boundary of the SRLCC. There is also an Excel table showing each category's percent of the total SRLCC area. From GAP land cover metadata: "this dataset combines the work of several different...

This thematic map illustrates the population density in the United States in 2010. Population density is the number of people per square mile. Population density is calculated by dividing the total population count of geographic feature by the area of the feature, in square miles. The area is calculated from the geometry of the geographic feature in projected coordinates. This map shows Esri's 2010 estimates using Census 2000 geographies. The geography depicts States at greater than 25m scale, Counties at 750k to 25m scale, Census Tracts at 150k to 750km scale, and Census B This thematic map illustrates the population density in the United States in 2010. This thematic map illustrates the projected annual compound population growth rate in the United States from 2010 to 2015. Total Population is the total number of residents in an area. Residence refers to the "usual place" where a person lives. This data variable is included in Esri's Updated Demographics (2010/2015). This map shows Esri's 2010 estimates using Census 2000 geographies. The map is designed to be displayed with 30–50 percent semi-transparency for overlay on other basemaps as noted in the map legend. A basemap with relatively few colors, such as Terrain, works well with this map when transparency is used. A web map that combines this service with the Terrain basemap and a reference overlay for...

The Colorado Plateau Rapid Ecoregional Assessment (REA) website contains links to the final report. Data from the report are shared through the Colorado Plateau REA Data Portal . Data portal maps are downloadable and can be viewed through map services and ArcGIS.com. The report and associated data answer the following management questions relating to land use (questions are from the final REA workplan): Future development management questions: 1. Where are areas of planned development (e.g., plans of operation, urban growth, transmission corridors, governmental planning)? 2. Where are areas of potential development (e.g., under lease), including renewable energy sites and transmission corridors and...
