Purpose

The datasets were developed to produce a series of estimated flood-inundation maps and depth grids for an approximate 2.5-mile reach of the Clear Fork Mohican River at Bellville, Ohio. The initial target audience is the state and local agencies that must make emergency operational decisions during flooding events. However, since the graphics are easy to view, anyone with an interest during these events can make use of the maps, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE), state and local emergency managers, the media, and the general public.
