Summary

This text file (Reference_List_V1.txt) lists references that describe relevant characteristics for reservoir thermal energy storage (RTES) research in the United States. References are grouped by corresponding city, including: Albuquerque, New Mexico; Charleston, South Carolina; Chicago, Illinois; Decatur, Illinois; Lansing, Michigan; Memphis, Tennessee; Phoenix, Arizona; and Portland, Oregon. The document includes hyphenated lines and headers to distinguish city-specific subsections. Purpose

References were compiled to permit estimation of subsurface hydrogeologic properties to advance national reservoir thermal energy storage (RTES) assessment efforts undertaken by the U.S. Geological Survey. Resulting estimated properties were analyzed and discussed in the following RTES national pre-assessment publication: Pepin, J.D., Burns, E.R., Dickinson, J.E., Duncan, L.L., Kuniansky, E.L., and Reeves, H.W., 2021, National-scale reservoir thermal energy storage pre-assessment for the United States, in Workshop on Geothermal Reservoir Engineering, 46th, Stanford, Calif., February 16–18, 2021, Proceedings: Stanford, Calif., Stanford University, SGP–TR–218, 10 p., https://pangea.stanford.edu/ERE/db/GeoConf/papers/SGW/2021/Pepin.pdf.
