The Geospatial Fabric version 1.1 (GFv1.1 or v1_1) is a dataset of spatial modeling units covering the conterminous United States (CONUS) and most major river basins that flow in from Canada. The GFv1.1 is an update to the original Geospatial Fabric (GFv1, Viger and Bock, 2014) for the National Hydrologic Modeling (NHM). Analogous to the GFv1, the GFv1.1 described here includes the following vector feature classes: points of interest (POIs_v1_1), a stream network (nsegment_v1_1), and hydrologic response units (nhru_v1_1), with several additional ancillary tables. These data are contained within the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) geodatabase format (GFv1.1.gdb).

This tabular data set represents the percent of land cover classes in the riparian zone from the 2019 edition of the National Land Cover databases for the years 2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2019 compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2.1 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. These databases can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "National Land Cover Database (NLCD) 2019 Products (ver. 2.0, June 2021)" databases for the years 2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2019 produced by the...
This dataset contains annual flow metrics quantifying drought and low streamflows for USGS GAGES-2 gages in the contiguous U.S. satisfying data completeness checks for the periods 1921-2020, 1951-2020, and 1981-2020. The dataset also contains annual climate variables from the USGS Monthly Water Balance Model (MWBM). The dataset provides trend analysis outputs for annual drought and low flow metrics for the periods 1921-2020, 1951-2020, and 1981-2020. Finally, we include six R language code files that were used to create the values included in this release as summarized in the process step section.

This dataset includes CSV data files containing environmental data that may be associated with the occurrence and toxicity of the diatom Pseudo nitzschia in Frenchman Bay, Maine, that can form harmful algal blooms and produce the toxin domoic acid. The dataset covers the period 2010 through 2022 or shorter period depending on the variable. Elevated concentrations of domoic acid in Pseudo nitzschia can lead to the contamination of shellfish, threats to human health and closures of shellfish harvesting areas. This dataset was compiled in cooperation with the National Park Service. The file “Site_Infomation_v4.csv” contains the latitudes and longitudes for the locations where Pseudo nitzschia cells were enumerated,...

This metadata record describes data that characterize low-flow period duration and seasonality, as well as trends and climate linkages at streamgages across the conterminous United States. These data are associated with a publication which looks to answer three questions about low-flow periods in the conterminous United States: (1) how long are these periods and when do they typically start and end, (2) how are these properties changing through time, and (3) how does climate influence these properties? These data include 1145 U.S. Geological Survey streamgages with historical periods from 1951-2020. This data release contains the following: 1) low_flow_characteristics.csv: Annual low-flow period characteristics...
The dataset contain estimates of natural monthly streamflow for 135,118 stream segments in California, USA, from 1950 to 2012. These estimates were made using statistical models described in Carlisle and others, 2016, Open File Report 2016-1189. Segments are identified per the medium resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), Version 1. The dataset also contains observed monthly streamflows and estimates of natural monthly streamflows for 894 USGS stream gages in California, USA.
